Got an event coming up? Tell us where and when, perhaps someone will want to drop in. Either way, we love to know what's happening on your teams.

Well, I thought I'd try to get this thing started.

What are your teams doing over the summer? Anything unique or interesting? Let us know!

AIM Newton is going on a mission trip to New Mexico, Lord Willing! =) We are planning on doing a VBS at a small church in Silvercity, and then at least one Workshop. The dates are June 20-July 1. This will be the third year we've gotten to go down there, so we'll be seeing old friends, as well as meeting new ones. We're getting excited!

AIM Branson is having a presentation at a Christian school tomorrow, and the Final Presentation on Thursday, (in just two days!) Last week we had a presentation and the public intermediate school, and were able to announce the FP, so we are hoping that lots of kids will show up.

Hey Voice of the Mime!

Just wondering, is your name a play off of Voice of the Martyrs? 8-)

So there's a workshop happening in Colorado? Where's Grand County at? That's neat. I haven't heard much about what's happening with the groups out there.

Also, the Branson team had their final practice of the session today. They'll be starting up the fall session in September, though they still have two things happening in the summer. 1) A presentation/stroll miming event at a school fair on August 6 and, 2) A large chunk of the team is heading to Kansas from August 1-5 to lead a workshop for several mime teams there. The group going from AIM Branson set up a lot of what they were doing this morning before practice. I wish I could go with them 8-)

Nayr,

No it was not, but now that's what I'm going to say because it's better than my other story.

Yeah, it is our first workshop that we are doing on our own, so it will be interesting.
Anyway, Grand County is two hours up I-70 from Denver. (Winter Park? That's in Grand County.)

If you're interested in popping in, message me and I will send you the info.

Ok, I have an aunt that lives in CO Springs, so I know the area just a little bit. I know you guys as the Granby team, but Grand County is fine 8-) You'll have to say how the workshop goes once you get through. I'd love to hear how the team does and what you all learn.

 By the way, a bunch of people on the Branson team just got back yesterday from a workshop for three mime teams (not AIM teams) in Kansas. I know at least one of them are on here, make that two, so I vote they get on and say what happened and how it went.

Hey, Nayr.

The workshop was very small, but if we look at it in percentages, we got 100% of the kids God wanted us to get. (He wanted us to get 9 kids.) but we got some kids interested in mime, taught a couple songs, and glorified God all the while.

Hey VOTM,

Sounds like a neat opportunity. Big workshops are neat because there's so many people that can learn from you, but with small ones, you can really get to know the students well. It's neat how there's always a positive side to workshops 8-)

That's a great perspective to have too. You did exactly what God wanted you to do there.

Any more teams have things going on? Anything coming up with the summer ending and fall fast approaching?
