Characteristics of AIM Teams: |
AIM recognizes its "ministry calling" is not for everyone!
AIM is called to be a ministry training ground for people who already believe in the following standards or for families that desire to move in the direction of these effective ministry standards: |
Family Oriented Ministry-AIM encourages families to be deeply involved in every aspect of this ministry and in the students’ lives!
(Acts 2:44-47)
|
Biblically-Based Courtship-AIM young people and families commit to Covenant CourtSTEPS (Courting Standards to Excellence Process) as the most effective ministry approach to pure relationships, staying in God’s will for your life and finding God’s perfect spouse!
(Romans 12:1-2)
|
Spiritual Maturity (NOT Social Entertainment)- AIM purposes not to insult today’s Christian youth by assuming they need to be entertained, but instead empowers them to actively impact their world in ways others didn’t know were possible!
(2 Corinthians 6:3-10)
|
Character Excellence (NOT Performance Arrogance)- AIM avoids the pitfalls of “performance oriented” groups by creating “Characters of Excellence” both on and off stage - teaching young people it’s all about God and not about us!
(Hebrews 12:1-3)
|
Quality Mentorship (NOT Quantity of Membership)- AIM takes full responsibility for the depth (quality) of ministry training, and, unlike worldly ways of thinking - we leave the width up to God. AIM desires first for God to increase our territories deeper, and then, only in His time, wider!
(Deuteronomy 6:1-9)
|
Active Mentorship Teams- AIM utilizes Jesus’ model of mentorship to train and disciple student and adult leadership teams to effectively mentor others. AIM’s call is to disciple God’s disciples to disciple the lost!
(Titus 2)
|
Individual and Team Accountability- AIM’s model offers optimum accountability for God’s people doing ministry in His name. AIM believes God’s people must place themselves in positions of accountability for integrity and effectiveness of ministry, to ensure God gets all of the glory for the results!
(Romans 13:1)
|
Street Evangelism and Service Projects- AIM goes boldly and directly to the lost, to meet them where they are and bring them completely and lovingly into God’s family. AIM works to maintain our rights as Christians to freedom of speech in all public places.
(1 Corinthians 9:22-23)
|
Training and Starting other AIM Teams- AIM defies conventional worldly wisdom and believes that whatever God has given to us, we must freely give away. AIM believes that by empowering others to do God’s ministry, we can cause a greater impact for His Kingdom here on earth!
(2 Corinthians 9:10-13)
